Course Aim

This course aims to ensure that each candidate acquires the techniques to minimise risk of injury from manual handling operations.

Who is the course for?

This course is ideal for anyone whose work involves lifting or carrying and where the workplace risk assessment highlights the need for training.

Course Syllabus Overview

  • Safety legislation
  • Anatomy and physiology - manual handling risk factor
  • Corrrect technique to carry out safe manual handling
  • Record Keeping


Course length: Three hours

Numbers: A maximum of 16 candidates can attend this course

Course Qualification

On successful completion of the course the candidate will receive a certificate of attendance. This is valid for three years.
