Fire Safety Law- Compliance Required

The Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 Part 3 and The Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006 have to be complied with from the 1st October 2006. It means The Employer/Owner has added responsibilities. You must have a Fire Risk Assessment carried out and recorded if 5 or more persons are employed. Staff must be nominated and trained in Fire-fighting and Evacuation procedures. You must also have an Emergency Fire Action Plan.
